Cooling equipment market in Nghe An 'heats up' with the weather

Electronics supermarket chains in Vinh City have recorded sales of cooling devices doubling compared to the same period last year, showing that people's demand is increasing sharply right from the beginning of summer.

Air-conditioning fans and air coolers priced from 1.8 to 5 million VND are becoming the preferred choice, thanks to the combination of effective cooling capacity and reasonable price, suitable for the income of many families.

Mr. Nguyen Quyet - Owner of an electronics dealer in Hoang Mai town said: "A notable point is that consumers today tend to look for energy-saving products. Inverter air conditioners, low-capacity air conditioners, and coolers with integrated energy-saving technology are prioritized by stores to introduce and sell better.

One-way air conditioner models with capacity of 9,000-12,000 BTU priced from 4.9 million to 6.5 million VND continue to maintain strong appeal. Meanwhile, high-end brands priced from 8.5 million to 13 million VND still attract a segment of consumers interested in their durability and stability.

In addition to refrigeration equipment, the market for mechanical cooling equipment such as bamboo mats, rattan mats, and air-conditioned mattresses is also attracting great attention from consumers. Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh, owner of a mat shop in Vinh market, said: "The number of bamboo mats sold this year has increased sharply, with some places selling more than 20 products per day. The prices of these products range from 300,000 to 800,000 VND, depending on size and material."

Consumers appreciate the natural cooling and energy-saving properties of these products, especially during hot summer days. Thanks to their convenience and ease of cleaning, these products are becoming a popular choice in households.

In particular, the market has also seen the development of products to support outdoor workers against the heat, such as air-conditioned shirts, personal mini fans, and high-capacity rechargeable fans. Although these products have only appeared in recent years, they are becoming popular thanks to their convenience and effectiveness.

In terms of price, the market this year is relatively stable. Products such as air conditioners, refrigerators or rechargeable fans have not had large price fluctuations compared to last year, thanks to strong competition from distributors.

However, some items such as refrigerators, especially inverter refrigerators with energy-saving technology, have seen a slight increase in price from 5 to 10% compared to last summer due to increased input and transportation costs. Refrigerators with common capacities from 150 to 300 liters are popular with consumers thanks to their energy-saving features and high durability.
