Firstly, due to the outbreak at the end of the year, Nghe An workers working in southern provinces and northern industrial zones in Hai Duong and Bac Ninh provinces did not return home for Tet in large numbers.

Therefore, the number of workers who quit their jobs is also very small. After more than a week of Tet holiday, on the first working day, at the Provincial Employment Service Center, only 22 workers came to complete procedures to receive labor benefits.unemployment.

Of these, only 9 workers work outside the province and mainly come from the southern provinces.

A positive sign is that while the number of workers filing for unemployment has decreased, the labor market is bustling with many labor recruitment orders.

Currently, in just the first few days of the year, the center has received at least 7 recruitment orders with thousands of workers such as Truong Hai Nghe An Company, Hoa Sen Nghe An One Member Co., Ltd., Trong Phuc Garment Co., Ltd., TH Milk Joint Stock Company.

It is worth mentioning that, while previously, recruitment orders for unskilled labor were mainly, this year many companies registered to recruit skilled workers or workers with university degrees in majors such as automation, electricity, electronics, and mechanics.

The income level is also quite attractive with a minimum salary of about 4,800,000 VND/month plus other allowances or products.

The Covid-19 pandemic has also affected the overseas labor market to some extent. However, according to Mr. Bui Tuan Ngoc - an employee of the one-stop transaction department, workers still have other opportunities: Last year, orders from Europe, Japan, and South Korea were quite difficult due to travel restrictions in those countries.

However, workers can still easily go to work in some other countries, including Taiwan. Currently, the demand for jobs in this market is very large with fees ranging from 5,000 - 6,000 USD/person for male workers working in the mechanical field. Meanwhile, the fee for female domestic workers is less than half. In particular, the procedures for going to Taiwan are quite simple and it only takes 1.5 - 2 months for workers to be able to leave the country.

To support workers to work domestically and internationally, there are currently many mechanisms such as free job referrals, consulting, and vocational training. Particularly, workers working abroad are supported with loans.
