Car market under 600 million is bustling

With a selling price of around 600 million VND, the presence of many famous names, and constant renewal, the B-class car segment is making the car market more exciting.

The B-class car segment with a small 1.5L engine currently has the presence of many names such as Ford Fiesta, Honda City, Toyota Vios, Nisan Sunny, GM Aveo, Mazda 2... among which 3 models are Ford Fiesta, Honda City, Toyota Vios are being favored and chosen by many customers.

Recently, Toyota Vietnam launched Vios 2014 with a completely new exterior design. Not only has the exterior changed completely, the car's size has also been adjusted to increase, making the car's interior more spacious and the body longer.

Vios 2014 has 3 versions: G, E and J, in which G, E use 1.5L engine with 107 horsepower capacity and J uses 1.3L engine, 84 horsepower capacity. The highest version G has 4-speed automatic transmission, while version E and J have manual transmission.

The B-class car segment is making the auto market more exciting.

In early 2014, Ford Vietnam also renewed the Fiesta model. In particular, Fiesta also has a version equipped with a 3-valve EcoBoost engine, with a cylinder capacity of 1.0L but a maximum capacity of 125 horsepower, equal to the previous 1.6L regular engine version.

Fiesta has 5 versions, including 2 5-door versions using 1.5L engine, 1 5-door version using 1.0L EcoBoost engine and 2 4-door versions using 1.5L engine. All versions are equipped with 6-speed automatic transmission or 5-speed manual transmission.

Honda City was launched in mid-2013, equipped with a 1.5 L engine, 120 horsepower, 5-speed automatic or manual transmission and steering wheel shift function. Honda City has 3 versions including MT manual transmission, AT automatic transmission and the highest-end LE with limited quantity.

Among the above models, the highest rated is the Fiesta 2014 of Ford Vietnam. This model has a price equivalent to Toyota Vios and Honda City, but has a stronger engine capacity, 6-speed automatic transmission...

However, despite continuous innovation, the number of cars sold is the lowest among the three models mentioned above. In March 2014, Ford only sold 113 Fiestas of all types. Currently, only the EcoBoost engine version has the same price, while the other versions have been reduced by 10 million VND.

Honda City has "made waves" in the market, at its peak there were up to 1,600 orders and customers had to wait 2 months to buy the car. However, the number of sales has gradually decreased, from 600 cars/month when it was first released, down to 284 cars in March 2014 and the selling price was also reduced by dealers by about 8 million VND for promotion.

With Toyota Vios 2014, according to information from Toyota Vietnam, the number of orders for Vios has reached 1,500 cars. Currently, Toyota only assembles 600 cars per month, so customers who register must wait 2 months for their cars to be delivered.

In the market, the price of Vios cars has not increased, but if you want to get the car immediately, dealers in Hanoi require customers to buy a set of accessories worth 20 million VND.

According to data from the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA), the B-class car market in March 2014 had sales of nearly 1,300 vehicles (excluding imported vehicles) and is the busiest segment along with the SUV segment, which is bringing success to many businesses.
