(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 6, Cua Lo town organized a meeting with veterans and former youth volunteers who participated in the resistance war against the French to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the historic Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2014).

Previously, on May 4, the Town Veterans Association organized for Veterans and Former Youth Volunteers of the town to offer flowers and incense to visit the tomb of General Vo Nguyen Giap at Vung Chua Dao Yen (Quang Dong commune, Quang Trach district, Quang Binh province).

At the meeting, the war veterans and former Youth Volunteers who participated in the resistance war against the French were moved to recall the glorious revolutionary tradition and heroic memories of the resistance war against French colonialism, culminating in the Dien Bien Phu victory that "resounded throughout the five continents and shook the world".
