Hoang Mai town invests over 12 billion VND to restore and embellish cultural relics.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of January 22, 2016, the People's Committee of Hoang Mai town held a conference to summarize the work of culture, information, sports and tourism in 2015 and deploy tasks in 2016.

Over the past year, cultural, artistic and sports movements were organized enthusiastically with many forms and rich content, attracting many classes of people to participate. The movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" developed both in breadth and depth. During the year, people were mobilized to build 8 new cultural houses worth nearly 3 billion VND, build a multi-functional communal cultural center worth over 5 billion VND and recognize 1 commune as meeting new rural cultural standards. Hoang Mai currently has 62% of cultural villages and blocks and over 81% of cultural families.

The work of preserving intangible cultural heritage in the area is focused on. The town has invested over 12 billion VND in the restoration of relics such as Con Temple, Xuan Hoa Temple, Xuan Uc Temple... Up to now, there are 10 relics in the area that have been ranked, including 4 national relics and 4 provincial relics. Activities to promote and advertise spiritual tourism and resort tourism have been promoted; the number of guests staying in the area is over 13,000 people and there are over 40,000 visitors visiting and offering incense at cultural and historical relics.

In 2016, Hoang Mai town focused on a number of important issues such as directing the restoration and embellishment of degraded relics and scenic spots; Building and implementing a number of projects such as: Project on building standard cultural, information and sports institutions of the town; Project on building a cultural and civilized urban lifestyle 2015-2020; Project on tourism development...

At the conference, 1 collective and 1 individual were awarded certificates of merit by the Department of Culture, Information, Sports and Tourism and 2 collectives and 2 individuals were awarded certificates of merit by the Town People's Committee for their many contributions in the field of culture and information.
