17 year old girl crossed the river to Laos to sell drugs
Ly was arrested at the border with 4,200 drug pills hidden in her bag, while three men with her fled on a motorbike.

Quang Tri Province Police identified Nguyen Thi Thao Ly (17 years old) and three men as renting a self-driving car from Quang Binh to the border area of Quang Tri Province. Ly then crossed the border alone to Laos to buy drugs.
Ly was returning by boat on the afternoon of July 15 when she was arrested by the authorities. Her accomplices fled on their motorbike.

After traveling about 50km, the three people in the car stopped on National Highway 9, passing through Cam Thanh Commune (Cam Lo District), and then hid in the cajuput forest. Late that same day, Quang Tri authorities arrested one person, Tran Thanh Giang (22 years old).
Authorities announced that Ly's bag contained 4,200 synthetic drug pills. Police are searching for the remaining items related to the case.
