Major Phan Manh Hung won the award "Outstanding Young Vietnamese Face 2014"

(Baonghean.vn) - Last night, March 28, 2015, in Hanoi, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union coordinated with the Vietnam Young Talent Support Fund and Tien Phong Newspaper to organize a ceremony to commend, award and honor individuals who won the Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces Award in 2014. Attending were comrade Nguyen Thien Nhan - Politburo member, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Former Deputy Prime Minister Vu Khoan, Chairman of the Vietnam Young Talent Support Council; comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, First Secretary of the Central Youth Union and representatives of leaders of several ministries, departments, branches and central organizations.

The Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces Award is a noble award of the Central Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Vietnam Young Talent Support Fund to honor individuals with outstanding achievements in the fields of study, scientific research, production, business, national defense and security, social order, culture and arts, sports, social activities, etc., including Vietnamese youth studying and working abroad.

10 Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces of 2014 include: Major Phan Manh Hung (Drug Crime Investigation Police Department, Nghe An Provincial Police), Pham Tuan Huy (overseas student at Stanford University, California, USA), Dr. Phan Minh Liem (President of the Graduate Student Association of the University of Texas, Anderson Institute - USA), Le Van Sang (Da Nang City Fisheries Association), Trang Seo Pao (Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoang Thu Pho Commune, Bac Ha District, Lao Cai), Nguyen Van Son (Director of Viettel Thai Nguyen Branch), Le Trung Thanh (Captain of Coast Guard Ship 4033, Squadron 201, Coast Guard Region 2 Command), Thach Kim Tuan (weightlifting team athlete, Ho Chi Minh City National Sports Training Center), Quach Hoang Nhi (class 5B, Nam Thanh Cong Primary School, 2nd year student of intermediate piano program, National Academy of Music), Dr. Nguyen Ba Hai (lecturer at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education). These are outstanding faces, carefully selected by the Research Award Selection Council from 8 specific fields. The contributions and achievements of the 10 typical faces voted will create a spread and impact in society, guiding young people to strive to follow.
