Accordingly, on July 4, 2018, Ms. Nguyen Anh Tram (born in 1981, residing in Hamlet 7, Hong Long Commune) went to Nam Dan District Police to report that on the same day, her family was broken into by a thief, who broke the safe and stole 8 taels of gold, 1 gold bracelet and about 70 million VND in cash. The total value of the property was more than 100 million VND.
After 5 days of active investigation, collecting documents and evidence and screening suspects in the area, Nam Dan District Police identified two suspects, Vo Van Quyet and Nguyen Quang Thanh, who showed many suspicious signs.
Persistent verification shows that Vo Van Quyet is currently in debt and previously had a criminal record for theft.
Nguyen Quang Thanh is a local tycoon and has three previous convictions for Rape and Theft. Thanh is currently on a temporary suspension of his sentence to return home for medical treatment (tuberculosis) as he was sentenced by the People's Court of Tuyen Quang Province for the same crime of Theft.

At 10:00 p.m. on July 9, the Nam Dan District Police force raided and arrested the two suspects at a coffee shop in Vinh City.
At the police station, the two subjects confessed to their crimes. The two subjects said that due to their heavy debts, they brought along “tools” such as screwdrivers to break into the bedroom of Ms. Nguyen Anh Tram (Quyet’s neighbor), broke the safe and “stole” the above assets.
After that, Thanh gave Quyet 13 million VND, Thanh used the rest to buy a phone, gamble and spend it all.
