The "Incirlik" air base in southern Türkiye, where NATO military aircraft are stationed, has been blockaded. |
According to unconfirmed information, security forces blocked all entrances and exits to the airbase due to rumors of a new coup. Access to the base was stopped at around 23:00 yesterday, the newspaper said.
At the same time, according to Turkish Minister in charge of EU affairs Omer Chelik, this is a routine "security check" and there is nothing to worry about, the official wrote on Twitter.
