Flight TK2014 carrying 133 passengers was scheduled to take off on Monday, May 23, but was forced to return to the staging area to conduct a search.
The recent threat is the latest in a series of hoaxes targeting the airline.
Several Turkish Airlines flights have also been hit by bomb threats over the past year, with fake bombs reportedly being placed in toilets, costing the airline millions of dollars.
