Türkiye thwarts terrorist attack plot
Turkish police on October 8 thwarted a terrorist attack using a car bomb targeting the capital Ankara.

Local police said that after receiving a confidential information, they launched an operation to arrest a man and a woman suspected of planning a suicide car bombing in the capital Ankara.
The two men were hiding in a hut on a horse farm on the outskirts of Ankara. Police asked them to surrender, but they blew themselves up.
Police have identified the suspects and seized a large amount of explosives and an identity card at the scene. They are investigating whether a third suspect was involved in the terrorist plot.
