The Nguyen Dynasty "Declaration of Independence" engraved under the horizontal plaque "Thai Hoa Palace".

"A country of a thousand years of civilization/Unified thousands of miles away. Since Hong Bang opened the country/The Southern sky and mountains have been firmly established." Dr. Phan Thanh Hai, Director of the Hue Monuments Conservation Center, explained that this declaration poem was carved by the Nguyen Dynasty kings in the most solemn position in the Thai Hoa Palace (Citadel, Hue) - the palace where the throne symbolizing the dynasty's power was placed.

When talking about the system of Han - Nom poems decorating Hue relics, we cannot help but mention "Than kinh nhi thap canh", which are 20 scenic spots of Hue that were ranked and composed of poems by King Thieu Tri in the mid-19th century, including 7 natural scenic spots and 13 artificial scenic spots or a combination of artificial and natural landscapes such as Minh Vien pavilion, Thieu Phuong garden in the Forbidden City; Tinh Tam lake, Thu Quang garden in Hue Citadel; Thanh Duyen pagoda on Thuy Van mountain; Thuan An sea, Huong river, Ngu Binh mountain, Thien Mu pagoda...

At the same time, to honor "Twenty Scenes of the Divine Capital", the king had it printed into a book to illustrate, painted on mirrors to hang in the palaces, painted on some porcelain to sign the style, had this collection of poems engraved on stone steles and bronze plates to create scenic spots. Thanks to that, despite going through many changes, "Twenty Scenes of the Divine Capital" has still been preserved in a very significant way.

For the mirror paintings and porcelains signed under the reign of King Thieu Tri, all the poems were sent to China for execution. Currently, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center still preserves at least 5 paintings of "Than kinh nhi thap canh" including: Trung Minh Vien Chieu (scene of Minh Vien tower in Hue's Imperial City); "Vinh Thieu Phuong Van" (scene of Thieu Phuong garden in Hue's Imperial City); "Thien Mu Chung Thanh" (scene of Thien Mu pagoda); "Thuong Mau Quan Canh" (scene of Thuong Mau garden in Hue's Imperial City); "Cao Cac Sinh Luong" (scene of Noi Kim Thuy lake in Hue's Imperial City). Regarding the signed porcelains, there is only one porcelain plate left depicting Thanh Duyen pagoda on Thuy Van mountain (with 4 verses from Van Son Thang Tich poem).

Since 1997, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center has collected and published the book "Than kinh nhi thap canh" by authors Phan Thuan An, Pham Duc Thanh Dung, Phan Thanh Hai and Nguyen Phuoc Hai Trung - Poems of King Thieu Tri, published by Thuan Hoa Publishing House.

Currently, the system of Han-Nom poetry and literature decorating Hue relics and the Nguyen Dynasty's royal cuisine are being collected, preserved, researched and profiled by the Hue Monuments Conservation Center to register as world memory heritage in 2015 according to UNESCO's recommendation.
