Weather June 22: Central region cools down, showers and thunderstorms in the evening and at night

Today, the heat in the North gradually narrowed, the temperature of 35-37 degrees only appeared in the midlands and the Northern Delta, the highest in Hanoi was 37 degrees. Particularly in the Central provinces, along Thanh Hoa - Ninh Thuan, the temperature was 35-38 degrees, in the western mountainous areas, some places were over 38 degrees Celsius.

By this evening and tonight, due to the influence of the low pressure trough, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms in the North. In the mountainous and midland provinces, there will be rain, some places will have moderate rain, heavy rain, some places will have very heavy rain with thunderstorms.

Moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms are usually concentrated at night and early morning. Thunderstorms are likely to produce tornadoes, hail and strong gusts of wind. Rain will continue until June 25.

The Central Highlands and the South are still relatively cool, with the highest temperature in the Central Highlands at 29-32 degrees Celsius, and the South is commonly 31-34 degrees. At night, the Central Highlands has some places with a chilly 20 degrees, and the South is cool at 24-27 degrees Celsius.
