Storm Bualoi approaches, East Sea stirs up

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, this morning, storm No. 10 Bualoi entered the East Sea. The center of the storm is located at about 14.5 degrees North latitude - 116.6 degrees East longitude, moving in the West-Northwest direction at a speed of 30-35 km/h and is likely to strengthen.

The strongest wind near the storm center is level 11-12, gusting to level 15. The North and Central East Sea, including the Hoang Sa archipelago, has strong winds of level 8-13, gusting to level 16, waves 6-10m high, and very rough seas. Offshore from Thanh Hoa to Quang Ngai and the North of Bac Bo Gulf, strong winds of level 8-13, gusting to level 16, waves 3-7m high, and very rough seas.

Risk of flooding in the North Central Coast

In the North Central coastal region, water levels could rise to 1-1.5m, posing a risk of flooding low-lying areas, dyke collapse and affecting aquaculture activities. People need to proactively prepare response plans.

Heavy rain in the North and Central regions

On the morning of September 27, moderate to heavy rain occurred in the Northeast, Phu Tho and Thanh Hoa with rainfall of 30-60mm, in some places over 120mm. Heavy rain is forecast to gradually decrease from this afternoon. However, the risk of heavy rain of over 100mm/3 hours still remains.

From the Northwest to the South, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with rainfall ranging from 20-40mm, and over 100mm in some places. Warning of localized heavy rain, which can easily cause flash floods and landslides in mountainous areas.
