Export fashion production

In recent years, the textile and garment industry has always been among the largest export products of Vietnam. In 2014, Vietnam's textile and garment fashion exports reached over 24 billion USD. It is estimated that in 2015, the export turnover of this product will reach over 27 billion USD. However, Vietnam's fashion products are mainly exported while the domestic market with 90 million people has not really received much attention.

According to the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (Vitas), understanding the importance of the domestic market, some enterprises are making efforts to gradually capture this market share by investing in production, focusing on product design innovation, brand development, and expanding distribution channels to capture market share in the domestic market. Among them, some enterprises have created their own mark and fashion brand and are highly appreciated by consumers such as: Nha Be Garment Corporation, Viet Tien Garment Joint Stock Company, Phong Phu Garment, Garment 10 Joint Stock Company, etc.

Vitas representative said that in order to support and create timely opportunities for enterprises in developing the domestic textile and garment market, Vitas will coordinate with the Vietnam Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex) with the sponsorship of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the National Trade Promotion Program to organize the International Fashion Fair (VIFF) 2015 at Tan Binh Exhibition and Fair Center, Ho Chi Minh City 2015, from September 18 to 23, 2015. The fair area is over 4,050m2, with over 200 booths of famous textile and garment enterprises such as: Viet Tien, Duc Giang, Nha Be, May 10, Hoa Tho, Viet Thang, Dong Xuan... participating. This year's VIFF is designed with the theme "Colors of Integration" promising to bring a more comprehensive picture of the Vietnamese textile and garment industry.

In addition to the main activities, VIFF 2015 also includes seminars and fashion shows by designers from textile and garment enterprises with new collections that are suitable for consumers and performances by professional models. The fair is an opportunity for enterprises to develop the domestic fashion market and promote the quintessence of national fashion while demonstrating the international integration of modern fashion products and increasing the value and competitiveness of fashion products in the domestic and export markets.
