Mr. Vi Van Sao - a resident of Cao Veu 3 village, Phuc Son commune, Anh Son district, has been involved in the profession of setting traps to catch loach on the Giang river for many years. He said: this season is quite easy to catch loach, because this is the breeding season and they are very voracious. Every night, Mr. Sao can catch 2-3 kg of loach.
To catch loach, the trap must be of good quality, made of old bamboo, with small, round, polished bamboo slats, and the distance between the slats must not be too sparse; worms can be used as bait to catch loach.

Although the location of the shelter is easy, only experienced people know where to place it is the most ideal. According to experience, the place to place the shelter must be where the water is clear, warm and has little fluctuation. The distance between the shelters is also far, each section of the river should only have a few.
Currently in Cao Veu village, there are more than 10 households fishing for loach on the river. The Giang River flowing through here is cool and fresh, with many types of plankton, which are favorable conditions for loach to grow and develop. This section of the river is located in the border area, so fewer people exploit it than the Lam River, and the fish and loach are very delicious and have firm meat.

Currently, fresh and delicious loach is a favorite specialty of many people. The price ranges from 100-150 thousand VND/kg but it is not easy to buy because the source is not much.
