Although the 2010-2020 new rural construction plan has just begun to be implemented, the atmosphere of new rural construction has reached all villages in Con Cuong district. (Baonghean) -Although the 2010-2020 new rural construction plan has just begun to be implemented, the atmosphere of new rural construction has reached all villages in Con Cuong district. One of the villages leading the implementation of the district's new rural construction policy is Khe Tin village, Yen Khe commune.

Khe Tin is one of the villages with a high poverty rate in the district. In 2010, the village had 42/78 poor households, in 2011, according to the new standards, the number of poor households in the village increased to 48 households and 12 near-poor households. However, when they learned about the district and commune's policy of expanding and hardening intra-village and intra-field roads to meet the second criterion of new rural construction, 76/78 households in the village agreed to donate their family's land to expand the road without requiring compensation for land clearance and damage to trees and fruit trees that were cut down.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hien, Head of Khe Tin village, said: "Understanding the policy of the superiors on building new rural areas, the village has organized many meetings with the people and received consensus to take advantage of the opportunity to build roads. Because in the past, the roads were narrow, muddy when it rained, and the roads in the fields were inaccessible to motor vehicles, the village has implemented the construction of all main roads to make travel and production more convenient, so that the lives of the people here can be improved."

On the first day of clearing the land to prepare for road construction, the village's mass organizations such as the Veterans Association, Farmers' Association, Women's Association, and Youth Union all participated with households whose land was cleared to cut down trees, destroy old fence markers to build new fence markers, and clean the roads in the village. In the first phase, Khe Tin village cleared 1.2km of the village road of 20 households and cut down more than 600 trees and fruit trees on both sides of the road. According to the plan, this road would be concreted 5m wide, but currently only 2m has been concreted, so households on both sides of the road donated an additional 1.5m of width each.

It is expected that before the Lunar New Year 2012, the land clearance will be completed on all roads in the village to have a plan to submit to the commune and district to request funding to expand and harden the roads within the village and fields. This will not only make the village roads clean and beautiful, not muddy when it rains, but also create conditions for Khe Tin village to carry out the transformation of production structure, mechanize production, develop the advantages of forests and agricultural land, especially serving the cultivation of 34 hectares of tea; taking care of 62.2 hectares of protective forest; planting, caring for and harvesting 16 hectares of planted forests of the whole village. In addition, people also produce crops such as corn, peanuts, fruit trees and especially within the source of production support for the construction of new rural areas of the district for Yen Khe commune, Khe Tin village is expanding the area of growing chives, a type of plant with low production costs but high product prices. People in Khe Tin village are very excited and trying their best to implement the criteria for building new rural areas.

The self-awareness and contribution of human and material resources of the people of Khe Tin village are extremely important for the current new rural construction.
