Agree on plan to build Border Defense Vocational School for Lao People's Army

Attending the meeting were Major General Nguyen Trong Thuong - Deputy Chief of Staff of the Vietnam Border Guard Command and representatives of agencies of the two border guard forces of Vietnam and Laos.

At the meeting, the delegation of the Border Guard Command, Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam and the delegation of the Border Guard Department, General Staff, Lao People's Army discussed and agreed on the construction of a Border Guard Vocational School for the Border Guard Department - General Staff, Lao People's Army. After specific consideration, at the meeting, the two sides agreed on a number of related contents.

The construction of the Lao Border Guard Vocational School is extremely necessary to be proactive in training specialized forces to protect the border for the Lao People's Army. Accordingly, the school will be built in Thaphabat district, Bolikhamxay province with an area of ​​about 17 hectares. According to the design, the school will train about 150 students each year.

The Vietnam Border Guard Command will assist the Border Guard Department - General Staff of the Lao People's Army in consulting on planning, design and construction of the Border Guard Vocational School. At the end of the meeting, the two heads of delegation signed a memorandum agreeing on the above contents and reported to the superiors of both sides to request implementation.
