Agree on plan to support Heroic Vietnamese Mothers
(Baonghean.vn) - On December 9, Nghe An province held a ceremony to confer and posthumously confer the honorary title of Heroic Vietnamese Mother to 319 mothers, including conferring the title to 48 living mothers and posthumously conferring the title to 271 mothers.
In order to promptly care for and support VNAH mothers, on the morning of December 25, the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs of Nghe An organized a meeting with units that support VNAH mothers to agree on a support plan, with the participation of units: Traffic Construction Corporation 4, Bac A Bank, Nghe An Newspaper, Nghe An Agricultural Materials Corporation, Nghe An Telecommunications, Nghe An Radio and Television Station...

After the province organized the conferment and posthumous awarding of the title of Heroic Vietnamese Mother (December 9), up to now, 6 mothers have passed away due to old age and poor health. Currently, 42 mothers are still alive and will be taken care of by the above-mentioned units. At the meeting, the units agreed on a common plan: In addition to taking care of, visiting, giving gifts on holidays and Tet, and taking care of the mothers when they are sick, each month the units receiving the care will allocate 1 million VND/mother to take care of. The implementation period will start from December 2014.
In addition, the leaders of the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs also requested that the units that receive care if a single Vietnamese Heroic Mother wishes to live at the Dien Chau Martyrs' Relatives Care Home, report to the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs to complete the procedures, and fully meet the mothers' wishes.
