Agree to build national border marker 443 at Cao Veu border gate (Anh Son district)

(Baonghean.vn) -As reported, after going to the field to unify the plan to build border marker 460 at Thanh Thuy border gate (Thanh Chuong), this afternoon, October 5, the Border Marker Planting Steering Committee of Nghe An and Bolikhamxay provinces (Laos) continued to go to the field to inspect the construction of marker 443 at Cao Veu border gate (Anh Son district).

Participating in the working delegation from Nghe An province was comrade Thai Van Hang - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Border Marker Planting Steering Committee. From Bolikhamxay province (Laos), was comrade Khammouanet Xaynhanon - Deputy Governor, Head of the Border Marker Planting Steering Committee of Bolikhamxay province (Laos).

Working delegations from two provinces conducted field surveys

In the field, the two sides agreed to build landmark 443 at Cao Veu border gate (Phuc Son commune, Anh Son district). Cao Veu is identified as a border gate with a strategic trade position, favorable for socio-economic development between the two provinces, located at the junction between Thoong Phi La, Xay-Cham-Phon district, Bo-ly-kham-xay province (Laos) and Phuc Son commune, Anh Son district, Nghe An province. Accordingly, the two sides agreed to expand the area, lower the height compared to the determined landmark location, to ensure the landscape; agreed on the policy of allowing the construction of auxiliary works within 100 meters from the border line; and build a domestic water supply system in the border gate area. The contents agreed by the two sides will be approved in writing, submitted to the National Border Committee, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Construction of the two countries for approval to soon proceed with the construction of landmark 443.
