Agree to build a national border marker at Thanh Thuy Border Gate (Thanh Chuong)
(Baonghean.vn) -Preparing for the plan to build national border marker No. 460 at Thanh Thuy border gate (Thanh Chuong), this morning, October 4, at Thanh Thuy border gate Border Guard Station, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee had a working session with the Steering Committee for Marker Planting of Bolikhamxay province, Lao PDR.
Attending the meeting were comrade Thai Van Hang - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for Vietnam - Laos Border Marker Planting in Nghe An province. On the side of Bolikhamxay province, there was comrade Khambhunat Xaynhanon - Deputy Governor, Head of the Steering Committee for Border Marker Planting, and the working delegation of Bolikhamxay province.
Working delegations of the two countries conducted a field survey at Thanh Thuy Border Gate.
Before working, the Steering Committee for the establishment of border markers of Nghe An and Bolikhamxay provinces conducted a field survey to determine the location, scale, and landscape of the construction of marker 460. This is the location of the national border marker that has been determined by the National Border Committee of the two countries, located at the junction between Thanh Thuy commune - Thanh Chuong district, Nghe An province and Nam On district, Bolikhamxay province (Laos).
Overview of the working session
Based on the field and legal documents, the two sides discussed and agreed on a number of contents, including the construction of a number of construction items within 100m from the border. On the side of Nghe An province, comrade Thai Van Hang assigned the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Department of Construction and the Provincial Border Guard to complete the document, adjust the construction scope planning data and a number of related contents to submit to the Governments of the two countries and relevant ministries and branches to unify the policy that the two localities of Nghe An and Bo-ly-kham-xay have agreed on, and soon proceed with the construction of landmark 460 at Thanh Thuy Border Gate.
