More information about the article: "Human trafficking is a pain" 3 victims who were tricked and sold to China were rescued and returned to Vietnam
(Baonghean) - In the series of articles "Human trafficking pain", published in Nghe An newspaper from April 16 to 19, 2012, there was a reflection on 3 16-year-old victims: Ven Thi Huyen (Cha Lo village, Mai Son - Tuong Duong), Moong Thi Oanh (Huoi Tho village - Huu Kiem - Ky Son) and Ngan Thi Ung (Hong Dien village - Don Phuc - Con Cuong) who were tricked and sold to China and are calling for help and hoping to return home. After being counseled, the girls escaped from their husband's family in China and went to the Chinese police station for help. The Chinese police supported part of the girls' train tickets and guided them back to Vietnam.
After 2 nights and 1 day, going through many train and car routes, at 1am on April 25, the children arrived at Tan Thanh Border Gate. According to regulations on rescuing victims of human trafficking crimes across the border, the victims need to have a guarantee letter from the local government and have a representative of the local government and their family come to pick them up. Without this confirmation, the children will be transferred to humanitarian centers or transferred to investigative agencies. Unfortunately, Nghe An Newspaper contacted the leaders of Con Cuong district but did not receive any agreement to cooperate to organize a guarantee for the children to return to their families soon.
Faced with that situation, on the afternoon of April 25, 2012, the leaders of Nghe An province directed the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to immediately send a guarantee document to the Tan Thanh Border Guard Station so that the victims could quickly complete procedures and receive financial support to return to their families. However, on the afternoon of April 26, 2012, implementing regulations on management and protection of victims of human trafficking crimes, the Tan Thanh Border Guard Station transferred the children to the Lang Son Provincial Humanitarian Center. Currently, Nghe An Newspaper is continuing to coordinate with the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Nghe An, the leaders of Tuong Duong district and Lang Son Newspaper to organize the return of the children to their families. Nghe An Newspaper will continue to inform readers about the incident.
