More information about the 2nd graduation exam review teacher in 2008 who has not been paid

(Baonghean.vn) Right after Nghe An newspaper published an investigative article "Why have teachers who taught the 2nd graduation exam review in 2008 not been paid yet" following the complaint of teacher Ho Sy Anh - teacher at Ky Son Ethnic Minority High School, we would like to provide further information on this issue as follows:

In the 2006-2007 school year, based on Decision No. 1374/QD.TTg dated October 12, 2007 of the Prime Minister on supplementary funding for the 2nd high school graduation exam in 2007, Nghe An province was supplemented with an amount of 18,434,300,000 VND. According to the actual training work in the 2006-2007 school year, Nghe An spent 10,901,382,000 VND; the remaining funding is 7,532,918,000 VND. To supplement the funding for training weak students in the 2007-2008 school year for mountainous districts, on May 29, 2008, the Nghe An Department of Education and Training issued Official Dispatch No. 967/SGD&DT - KHTV requesting the Department of Finance to appraise and submit to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and decision on the use of the above-mentioned 2007 Government funding for 10 mountainous districts with a total amount of 7,532,918,000 VND for training weak students in the 2007-2008 school year.

On October 30, 2008, the Department of Finance issued a document advising the Provincial People's Committee to allow the Department of Education and Training to continue using this funding source in 2008 to support poor students, the amount of 7,336,455,000 VND.

On November 17, 2008, the Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 5117/QD-UBND-VX allowing the Department of Education and Training to use in 2008 the amount of VND 7,336,455,000 to allocate for training weak students (attached is the list of allocated funds for training weak students in 2008 for mountainous districts).

However, the Department of Education and Training has not yet notified the above contents to teachers and educational institutions of 10 mountainous districts. Therefore, the Education sector needs to have written responses regarding the payment of allowances for poor students in 2008, and at the same time clearly state the funding source for this payment.
