The Vietnam National Academy of Music (NVH) announced that it will hold the exam from July 1 to July 3, 2013 (admission for Literature); preliminary exam from June 20. The exam location is at 77 Hao Nam, O Cho Dua (Dong Da, Hanoi). The exam subjects of the academy include Music Knowledge and specialized subjects. Specific details and exam subjects will be announced from April 1, 2013 at the Academy's admission office.

The Academy would like to remind candidates that the official exam papers will be distributed on June 29 at the school's Admissions Office and will not be sent by post. For majors in majors 5, 7, and 8, candidates must write the correct name of each major on the application form.
Vietnam University of Fine Arts (MTH) enrolls students nationwide. The school organizes aptitude tests. Specifically, the majors of Painting, Graphics, Fine Arts Pedagogy, Theory, History and Art Criticism: Geometry, Composition. The major of Graphic Design: Drawing, Decoration. The major of Sculpture: Round Statue, Relief. The school receives application documents at the school, not through high schools or the Department of Education and Training before May 30, 2013.

In 2013, the Central University of Art Education will consider admission to Literature based on the results of the high school graduation exam and the final score of 3 years of high school for all majors. Candidates submit copies of their transcripts, graduation certificates, and application documents. The school will organize two aptitude tests (multiplied by a factor of 2).

Specifically, the University of Music Education will have exams on July 11, 2013 in the subjects General Music Knowledge - Solfege, Vocal Music - Musical Instruments.

University of Cultural Management exam on July 11, 2013, aptitude test subjects like block H or block N.

University of Fashion Design and University of Graphic Design: exam on July 11, 2013, Drawing exam (portrait drawing, 240 minutes); July 12 exam, Decoration exam (240 minutes).

University of Fine Arts: Exam on July 11, 2013, Drawing subject (drawing a bust – 360 minutes); Exam on July 12, Composition subject (360 minutes).

For the College of Education system, the school considers NV2 admission based on the results of the Music Education University entrance exam, the Fine Arts Education University entrance exam of the Central University of Art Education and other universities with the same exam block and subjects.

The school also notes that candidates can register for many different majors at the school, each major must submit a set of registration documents. The results of the Drawing, Composition, Decoration, General Music Knowledge - Singing, Vocal Music - Musical Instruments exams are calculated together for the majors with the same exam block and exam subjects. The school only transfers the scores of common exams for candidates with the condition that when coming to complete the exam procedures, candidates must have a request to transfer the scores of common exams according to the form and submit it to the reception staff.

This year, Vietnam Dance College will recruit Dance and Music talents. The Dance Drama major recruits students from 12 to 13 years old, who have completed 6th grade of junior high school. The Traditional Dance major recruits students from 15 to 16 years old (who have completed 9th grade of junior high school). The school will conduct preliminary recruitment at the school from April 20 to June 20, 2013. The Dance Training and Choreography majors recruit students from 18 to 30 years old, who have graduated from intermediate dance school.

The school will hold exams on 3 days: July 17, 18, 19, 2013; admission scores will be based on majors and blocks. The school will organize entrance exams for aptitude subjects and Literature subjects based on high school graduation exam results and the final score of 3 years of high school. For the Library Science major, the school will not organize an exam but will consider admission based on the results of the 3 general exams.

Viet Bac College of Culture and Arts recruits candidates with registered residence in the provinces of the Northeast region (Ha Giang, Cao Bang, Lao Cai, Tuyen Quang, Lang Son, Yen Bai, Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc, Quang Ninh, Bac Giang, Bac Ninh). For the majors of Library Science, Museum Studies, and Vietnamese Studies (Group C), the school does not organize exams but selects candidates based on the 3 common exam questions.

For art majors such as: Music Pedagogy; Fine Arts Pedagogy; Cultural Management; Painting; Vocal Music (H, N blocks), the school organizes entrance exams for gifted subjects and Literature subjects (based on high school graduation exam results and the total score of 3 years of high school).

Hue Academy of Music enrolls students nationwide, exam dates are from July 12 to July 15, 2013. Candidates submit their application at the school or send it by express mail to the school's Training Department.

For group N, the school considers admission to Literature based on the results of the high school graduation exam and the total score of 3 years of high school (score multiplied by coefficient 1). Aptitude subjects are multiplied by coefficient 2; specifically, the majors of Musicology, Music Composition and Music Conducting major take the following exams: Notation - Solfege, Harmony, Piano, Major. The school notes that candidates must take all the exams in the aptitude test of the major they are applying for. The Pedagogy major does not accept candidates with deformities, disabilities, lisping, or stuttering.

Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music said that the school will enroll students nationwide and will receive applications from April 2 to May 3, 2013; the entrance exam will be from July 17 to July 23, 2013. In addition to the Literature exam, the school will test General Knowledge of Music; Specialized Aptitude (specialized subject multiplied by coefficient 2). The content of the aptitude exam is posted at the Conservatory of Music.

The Conservatory notes that the application must clearly state the training major and be submitted online at the Conservatory or sent by post to the Conservatory's training department, not through schools or the Department of Education and Training. The condition for admission to the school is to have one of the following types of high school diploma, high school supplementary, vocational high school, or professional college diploma. Admission scores are based on major.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Fine Arts enrolls students nationwide; organizes exams for university level. College level does not organize exams but considers university entrance exam scores of equivalent majors organized by Ho Chi Minh City University of Fine Arts. The school's enrollment target this year is 195, of which 165 are for university level and 30 are for college level.

Dong Nai College of Decorative Arts recruits students nationwide. In addition to the Literature subject, the school tests two aptitude subjects: Drawing (still life or sculpture, black pencil); Decoration (watercolor or powder). In 2013, the school recruited 250 new students.
