North-South railway overpass opens to traffic through Nghi Kim commune (Vinh city)
(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of October 26, the Ministry of Transport and the People's Committee of Nghe An province jointly organized the opening ceremony of the sub-project of the intersection between the North-South railway (railway route Km314+713) and National Highway 1A (road route Km456+629) in Nghi Kim commune, Vinh city.
Attending the ceremony were comrades: Dinh La Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Transport; on the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Tran Hong Chau - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Huynh Thanh Dien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of departments, branches and Vinh city.

The North-South railway overpass sub-project through Nghi Kim commune, Vinh city has a total investment of more than 373 billion VND, with a total length of both bridge and road of 1,100 m, of which the bridge is 324 m long, the approach road is 775 m long, including 4 lanes for motor vehicles, 2 lanes for rudimentary vehicles, directly constructed by Thang Long Construction Corporation with a period of 12 months from the date of commencement. However, with the drastic direction of the Ministry of Transport, the active efforts of the investor, contractor and related units and localities, the project was completed 2 months ahead of schedule, ensuring technical and aesthetic requirements, ensuring traffic safety and environmental sanitation, without affecting traffic on National Highway 1.

Its completion and operation will create a highlight, solving the urgent problem of ensuring traffic safety and preventing congestion in the northern gateway of Vinh City, meeting the increasing demand for transportation on National Highway 1A, while creating a driving force for socio-economic development, contributing to helping Nghe An increasingly complete its synchronous and modern traffic infrastructure, contributing to the good implementation of Resolution 26-NQ/TW. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested Vinh City to strengthen propaganda work so that people can raise their awareness of protecting and preserving the infrastructure and traffic signs of the project to ensure that the project is put into sustainable use, creating a beautiful highlight and clearing the northern gateway of Vinh City.
