Technical opening of Dung bridge and road to BanVe resettlement area
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 1, Traffic Construction Corporation 4 held a technical opening ceremony for Dung bridge and the road from Thanh Chuong district center to Ban Ve hydropower resettlement area (phase I).
Attending the ceremony were comrades: Party Central Committee member Tran Van Hang - Chairman of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee and Nguyen Xuan Thang - President of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences; Major General Nguyen Sy Hoi - Deputy Commander of Military Region IV; comrades Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Xuan Son - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors and a large number of cadres and people of Thanh Chuong district.

The Dung bridge and road project from the center of Thanh Chuong district to the Ban Ve hydropower resettlement area is directly constructed by the Traffic Construction Corporation 4, with a total investment of more than 335 billion VND. The project is divided into 2 phases, phase I includes the construction of the Dung bridge with permanent reinforced concrete structure across the Lam River and 9 km of road according to the technical standards of a level IV plain road, from the center of Thanh Chuong district to Thanh Tien commune; phase II constructs the remaining 11 km from Thanh Tien commune to the Ban Ve hydropower resettlement area with the technical standards of a level IV mountainous road. After more than 7 constructions (started on January 18, 2014), phase I of the project includes the Dung bridge with a length of 350 m, which has been completed and meets the technical conditions for traffic; 9 km of the road has been paved with asphalt according to the standards of a level IV plain road. The total investment in phase I is 231.7 billion VND.

Speaking at the technical opening ceremony of Dung bridge, on behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong highly appreciated the efforts of the construction units to ensure the technical opening of Dung bridge and the first phase of the road on schedule, ensuring technical and quality standards. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also affirmed that the Dung bridge project and the road from the center of Thanh Chuong district to the Ban Ve hydropower resettlement area is an important project, contributing to connecting the district center with Ho Chi Minh road, to Thanh Thuy border gate to Laos in the most convenient and shortest way, thereby promoting the socio-economic development of Thanh Chuong district in general and the communes through which the road passes, especially creating comprehensive development opportunities for the two resettlement communes of Thanh Son and Ngoc Lam. Therefore, it is recommended that construction units continue to complete the remaining items in phase I, ensuring quality and aesthetics to put the project into operation to meet the requirements of socio-economic development, national defense and security of Thanh Chuong district and the needs of trade and travel of people in the region. Thanh Chuong district should strengthen propaganda and mobilization work so that people can raise awareness of protecting the structure of the project, the system of trees, traffic signs, not encroaching on the roadside, and building a road that is always safe - green - clean - beautiful.
