Seized 1 ton of salt labeled as iodized salt

(Baonghean.vn) - At around 4:00 p.m. on May 22, Nghe An Market Management Team No. 1 caught a facility red-handed counterfeiting iodized salt labels in Hai Bac hamlet, Dien Bich commune, Dien Chau district, owned by Mr. Le Van Tam.

At the time of inspection, the facility owner was having workers pack bags to prepare for sale. All the raw materials were regular salt but were packaged with the label of iodized salt in 1 kg bags (belonging to Visalco Salt Corporation, address No. 7, Hang Ga, Hanoi).

The owner of the facility only presented a business license, but did not have any quality inspection certificate or other administrative procedures. Market Management Team No. 1 drew up an administrative penalty record according to regulations, and confiscated and destroyed 17 kg of packaging, 2 bag sealing machines and 1 ton of packaged salt.
