On August 2, the Da Nang International Airport Customs Branch said that the unit had just seized two large maps and dozens of travel guidebooks without printing Vietnam's Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos brought to Da Nang by two Chinese tourists.

The recently seized world maps all show serious violations.
for the territorial sovereignty of Vietnam's seas
when not printing Hoang Sa, Truong Sa

Previously, at around 11:45 p.m. last night (August 1), flight MU7007 from Beijing (China) landed at Da Nang International Airport. During the screening and inspection process, the Da Nang International Airport Customs Branch discovered in the bag of the arriving passenger Xing Shanshan (born in 1986, Chinese nationality) 2 large maps, one world map and one map showing Chinese territory, each measuring 110x150cm.

It is worth noting that in both of these maps, the East Sea area of Vietnam is printed with the nine-dash “cow tongue line”. In addition, in the area of Truong Sa and Hoang Sa archipelagos of Vietnam, the names are printed as Xisha and Nansha archipelagos of China. In the area of Xisha archipelago, the name of Sansha city is shown.

The nine-dash "cow tongue line" printed on the map violates Vietnam's territorial sovereignty over its waters.

On the same day, at around 9:30 p.m., flight CZ3037 from Guangzhou, China landed at Da Nang International Airport. During screening and inspection, the Da Nang International Airport Customs Branch discovered in the bag of the passenger entering the country Chen Jian Long (born in 1970, Chinese nationality) 16 Da Nang travel guidebooks measuring 10 x 14 cm, including 32 pages printed in Chinese. However, on page 2 of these books, there was a logo of a map of Vietnam printed but there was no Truong Sa and Hoang Sa archipelagos of Vietnam.

Currently, the publications with incorrect content have been confiscated by the Danang International Airport Customs Branch and handed over to the competent authority to appraise the Chinese content in the publications, after which administrative sanctions will be imposed according to regulations.
