Over 70 illegal wooden slabs seized in Khe Kien (Tuong Duong)
(Baonghean.vn) - Mobile Ranger Team No. 1, under Nghe An Forest Protection Department, has just coordinated with Tuong Duong Forest Protection Department to inspect and seize 71 wooden slabs from groups 2 to 5 on Kien stream, about 5 km from the forest ranger station in this area.
Initial investigation determined that the timber was illegally exploited by some loggers in the upstream area of Khe Kien. At the time of discovery, the subjects had fled, so the timber was collected and transferred to the team for handling according to legal regulations.
