Recovering corrupt assets to stop 'father from going to jail so wife and children can live a prosperous life'
National Assembly delegates emphasized the need to thoroughly recover assets in economic and corruption cases to avoid the idea of "sacrificing the father's life to strengthen the son's life".
Causing corruption and loss is a "sinner"
Discussing socio-economic issues in the Hall this morning (May 30), Delegate Nguyen Quoc Han - Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Ca Mau province emphasized the need to thoroughly recover assets in economic and corruption cases and consider this a necessary task.
In the context of many socio-economic difficulties, many projects and projects to protect people's lives and livelihoods do not have enough capital to invest, so economic and corruption cases have caused the State to lose thousands, even tens of thousands of billions of VND. The individuals who caused the crimes are "criminals" who need to be condemned, and the law needs to deal with them strictly.

However, according to the delegate, the intentional acts of causing losses and corruption of thousands of billions of dong, even if receiving the highest sentence, do not ensure deterrence and social justice. Because, with that amount of money, if not lost or corrupted, we will have more capital to invest in riverbank erosion embankments, build works to prevent flash floods and landslides, contributing to significantly reducing the number of people killed by natural disasters.
“In addition to strong sanctions, asset recovery is extremely necessary and has a high deterrent effect in the fight against corruption, and combats the ideology of "sacrificing the father's life to go to prison so that the family, wife and children can live comfortably and comfortably for the rest of their lives."
This delegate believes that with the recovery of corrupt assets, along with personal imprisonment, the disgrace of the family, and the responsibility to remedy the consequences, the subjects will not dare to commit crimes.
The incident in Da Nang has not been resolved, causing public concern.

In December 2017, the Government Inspectorate announced its decision to conduct a comprehensive inspection of the Da Phuoc International Urban Area project and compliance with legal regulations on land management, use, forest protection and development, environmental protection, and construction of projects on the Son Tra peninsula.
However, according to delegate Nguyen Ba Son, the fact that the issue has not been completely resolved has caused public concern, civil servants in agencies to be worried, hesitant, indecisive, and reduced dynamism in performing public duties, leading to low effectiveness and efficiency.
“There are senior voters and revolutionary veterans who have asked their National Assembly delegation about the extension of time. Do you promise the voters of this city that there will be no shady, negative or corrupt actions? Please feel free to forward this to the Government Inspector General and the Chief Prosecutor of the People's Procuracy for an answer for the voters,” said Mr. Nguyen Ba Son./.
