Chinese tuberculosis drug recalled

The Drug Administration of Vietnam (Ministry of Health) has just decided to withdraw the registration number of Streptomycin Sulfate, 1g injection powder (treatment of tuberculosis and non-tuberculous infections).

This medicine is manufactured by North China Pharmaceutical Group Formulation Co. Ltd (China), with registration number: VN-5413-08. The product's registration number was revoked because the medicine was manufactured inconsistently with the registration records kept at the Drug Administration Department.

In addition, the Drug Administration also requested the recall and suspension of nationwide circulation of Dolcel 100 capsules for arthritis treatment, lot number 1102, because they did not meet quality standards regarding dissolution index.
