Letter calling for support and help for the poor to celebrate Lunar New Year At Mui
(Baonghean) - On the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year 2015, comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee sent a letter calling on Party committees, authorities, Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, military units, and enterprises to join hands to support and help the poor celebrate Tet. Nghe An Electronic Newspaper would like to publish the letter:
To: Party committees, authorities, Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, armed forces units, enterprises, businessmen, cadres and party members
In recent years, with the special attention of the Party and State, the efforts of the Party Committee and people of the province, the active support of businesses, organizations and individuals, the poverty reduction work of our province has achieved many positive results, the poverty rate in 2014 decreased from 13.4% to nearly 10%.
However, currently, the whole province still has 77,600 poor households, including many cases of homeless elderly people, lonely poor people, poor patients, families in especially difficult circumstances and many cases of disadvantaged children who are in dire need of special attention and help during the Lunar New Year 2015.
Promoting the tradition of humanity, solidarity, sharing difficulties, and helping the poor is a sentiment that demonstrates the compassion, responsibility, and morality of each person; so that the Year of the Goat 2015 is truly a Tet for the poor, in addition to the State's support and attention, I earnestly propose:
- Cadres and party members, each person has a noble act to help the poor, towards poor neighborhoods and poor communes. Each person chooses a specific address to visit, encourage, give gifts, and share difficulties with poor households, poor people, people in difficult circumstances, families of war invalids and martyrs.
- Agencies, units, and businesses should save on spending, organize visits, give gifts or send gifts, help the poor have a joyful and happy Tet and Spring; especially organizations and units that are receiving support for poor communes should proactively visit, share, and give gifts to the poor before December 15, 2014 (lunar calendar), and complete the program and plan to support poor communes at the beginning of the year.
We sincerely thank and look forward to receiving positive and practical responses from organizations, individuals, comrades and compatriots.
Provincial Party Secretary
Ho Duc Phuc
