Valedictorian of Hanoi University of Pharmacy scored 29.5 points
The valedictorian is Nguyen Thanh Tung - a student at Hanoi National University of Education High School with 29.5 points.
On July 20, 12 more universities announced their 2013 entrance exam scores. So far, 18 universities nationwide have announced their exam scores.
Representatives of some universities that have block C exams said that the exam scores for this block this year are higher than last year.
Mr. Le Duy Phat - Principal of Quang Nam University said: The Geography exam scores of candidates this year are quite high, one student got 9.75 points and only 4% of the exams were below average. In particular, the exams of candidates majoring in pedagogy achieved high scores.
Mr. Phat said: "The quality of this year's exam is higher than last year's. The school tested all subjects and found that the highest score was in Geography, but the lowest score was in Literature."
On the same day, July 20, Hai Phong Private University announced the exam scores. The school's valedictorian scored 23 points in block C. The average score for block A was 9.66; block A1 was 9.2; block B was 12.07; block C was 16.08 and block D was 12.79.
Mr. Tran Huu Nghi - Principal of Hai Phong Private University said: "In my opinion, the average score of 9.66 or 9.2 is low. For group C, because the questions are open, students write better, the average score is 16.08".
Member schools of Hanoi National University have also announced the exam scores for blocks A, A1 and B.
This year, the top student in block B of the school got 29 points; block A got 28 points and block A1 got 25 points.
Hanoi University of Pharmacy said there were many exams with 10 points, mainly in Math and Chemistry.
The school's valedictorian is Nguyen Thanh Tung - a student at Hanoi National University of Education High School for the Gifted, with 29.5 points. Tung is currently the valedictorian with the highest score in the country.
The school's admission score will likely be higher than last year because the quota is only 400, while last year it was 600./.
