Hue's valedictorian scored 59 points, the highest in the country
Candidate Nguyen Ngo Bao Ngoc (born May 1, 1995, candidate number 10668 - Hue) achieved a total score of 59 (Literature 9 points, 5 other subjects with perfect scores). Up to this point, Bao Ngoc is currently the valedictorian with the highest score nationwide.
This year, the whole Thua Thien - Hue province has more than 15,000 candidates taking the exam. The graduation rate of high school students is 98.66%, lower than last year (99.7%). The graduation rate of the Continuing Education system is 83.35%, a sharp decrease compared to last year (96.8%).
The whole province has 6 schools with 100% of candidates passing the graduation exam, including: Nguyen Hue High School (Hue City); Specialized Block of Hue University of Sciences (Hue University); Nguyen Chi Thanh High School (Quang Dien); Vinh Xuan High School (Phu Vang); Huong Thuy High School (Huong Thuy) and Hue Star High School.
Although the graduation rate did not reach 100% like previous years due to 1 candidate being suspended, Quoc Hoc High School for the Gifted still leads the rankings with 8/10 candidates having the highest scores. The remaining 2 candidates in the top 10 belong to Dang Huy Tru High School and Nguyen Hue High School.

Notably, the valedictorian of the graduation exam in Hue and currently having the highest score nationwide up to this point is Nguyen Ngo Bao Ngoc - a 12th grader majoring in English - French (Quoc Hoc High School for the Gifted). His total score is 59 points. Ngoc only has a Literature score of 9 points, the remaining 5 subjects all have perfect scores of 10.
The three runners-up, both with 58 points, were Nguyen Thi Hong Nga, Nguyen Tran Lam Anh (Quoc Hoc High School for the Gifted) and Dang Thi Thu Hang (Dang Huy Tru High School - Huong Tra).
