Outstanding valedictorian with Hanoi's new rural construction program
On August 18, 107 excellent valedictorians graduating from universities and academies in Hanoi traveled to Phuc Tho district, Hanoi, to participate in activities under the theme "Valedictorians with new rural construction" within the framework of the program to meet and honor valedictorians of 2012 organized annually by the Hanoi Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee.

In Phuc Tho district, the valedictorians offered incense and planted souvenir trees at Hai Ba Trung Temple (Hat Mon commune); started construction of a playground for children in Vong Xuyen commune; presented 10 gifts (each worth 1 million VND) to poor students who overcame difficulties in the district; visited and learned about the tradition and socio-economic development situation, and the results of new rural construction in the district.
The valedictorians also interacted with outstanding students and members of the Youth Union of Phuc Tho district on the topic "Secrets to becoming valedictorians", then divided into groups to live at local people's houses and learn about rural life in the suburbs of Hanoi. According to the schedule, on August 19, the valedictorians will discuss, exchange and contribute ideas to the new rural development program of Phuc Tho district.
