Goalkeeper Bui Tien Dung apologizes to fans
Right before leaving for South Korea to train with the Vietnamese team, goalkeeper Bui Tien Dung apologized to the fans after making two serious mistakes in the national cup final between FLC Thanh Hoa and Quang Nam.
The 21-year-old goalkeeper apologized for causing Thanh Hoa FC to miss out on the championship trophy, writing on his personal page: “Thanh Hoa FC would have finished the season more perfectly if I hadn’t made a mistake in the national cup final. I want to apologize to the fans and thank everyone for always accompanying the club.

I will learn from the experience and stand up strong from the words of encouragement. During the training session with the national team, I will try harder to respond to everyone's expectations."
Previously, in the national cup final between Thanh Hoa and Binh Duong on the afternoon of October 15 at Tam Ky Stadium, Quang Nam, Tien Dung made two very silly and incomprehensible mistakes, leading to two goals conceded by his team. In the end, Thanh Hoa lost 1-3, accepting the loss of the national cup.
Tien Dung blamed himself and apologized, while coach Nguyen Duc Thang encouraged his student: "That is a valuable lesson for Tien Dung to become more mature in the future. In top matches like this, there is no room for mistakes, clearly Tien Dung played without concentration and was not in a really good mental state."
