Nghe An province's budget revenue for the first 10 months is estimated at VND18,911 billion, exceeding the estimate by 18.9% and increasing by 41.2% over the same period, ranking 17th in the country and 2nd in the North Central region.
On the morning of October 31, comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the regular meeting of the Provincial People's Committee to assess the socio-economic situation in October and 10 months of 2024; giving opinions on contents under his authority.
Guests attending the meeting included comrade Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.
Also attending the meeting were comrades: Bui Thanh An - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Bui Dinh Long - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Van De - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; along with members of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of departments, branches and sectors.

At the meeting, the Provincial People's Committee listened to and commented on the report on the socio-economic situation in October and the first 10 months of the year; key tasks and solutions for the last 2 months of 2024.
Reporting at the meeting, Director of the Department of Planning and Investment Pham Hong Quang stated that in October 2024, all levels and sectors will focus on directing, urging, and accelerating the completion of tasks for 2024; urgently overcoming the consequences of floods in some localities at the end of September.

The situation of agricultural, forestry and fishery production is basically stable. The index of industrial production (IIP) in October is estimated to increase by 11.85%; the cumulative 10-month increase is estimated to increase by 10.81% over the same period in 2023.
Export turnover of goods in 10 months is estimated at 2,638 million USD, up 32.01%; Import turnover is estimated at more than 2,025 million USD, up 82.48% over the same period.

Budget revenue for the first 10 months is estimated at VND 18,911 billion, exceeding the estimate by 18.9% and increasing by 41.2% over the same period, ranking 17th in the country and 2nd in the North Central region.
Of which, domestic revenue is estimated at VND 17,529 billion, reaching 120.6% of the estimate and increasing by 40.7% over the same period; revenue from import-export activities is estimated at VND 1,372 billion, reaching 105.6% of the estimate and increasing by 50.2% over the same period.

Up to now, the province has granted new investment capital to 67 projects with a total registered investment capital of over 19,106 billion VND; adjusted total investment capital to 35 projects with a total investment capital increase of over 17,212 billion VND. The total newly granted and adjusted capital is over 36,318 billion VND, of which FDI capital reached 751 million USD.
As of October 20, the total public investment plan for 2024, including the extended plan, has disbursed more than VND 6,194 billion, reaching 62.44%, 52.4% higher than the same period. There are 5 districts, cities, towns and 18 investment units that have disbursed over 70%.

The cultural and social fields continue to receive attention and effective direction. In the past 10 months, jobs have been created for 44,850 people, reaching 95.42% of the plan.
Administrative reform continues to receive comprehensive attention and direction. Inspection, discipline, administrative discipline and public ethics are carried out regularly.
The project to reorganize district and commune-level administrative units in the 2023-2025 period of the province has been approved by the National Assembly Standing Committee. National defense, security and social order and safety are ensured, and foreign affairs activities continue to be effectively implemented.

In addition to the achieved results, African swine fever is complicated in some localities after floods, with the risk of widespread outbreaks. Many localities, units and investors are having low investment capital disbursement rates.
Production and business activities of enterprises are still facing difficulties, especially small and medium enterprises. During the month, 38 enterprises voluntarily dissolved, up 80.9% over the same period; 43 enterprises resumed operations, down 4.4% over the same period in 2023.
