(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of January 24, Hung Thang commune (Hung Nguyen) held a ceremony to receive the Certificate of recognition for meeting new rural standards.

In the 5 years from 2011 to present, Hung Thang has mobilized resources of 58,324 million VND to build infrastructure: electricity, roads, schools, medical stations, cultural facilities... to implement the NTM criteria. Of which, people contributed 7,947.6 million VND, accounting for 13.6% and donated over 2,800m²Land for transportation and irrigation works. 100% of households have audio-visual equipment, 12/12 hamlets have cultural houses and spacious community activities.

The rate of cultural families annually reaches over 85%; Cultural facilities and institutions are invested and upgraded from commune to hamlet. Up to now, 6/6 hamlets have cultural houses, stadiums, and playgrounds that ensure area and equipment to serve community activities.

Hung Thang focuses on applying technical advances to the fields while promoting the development of industries, services and trade. In the commune, there are 6 construction, trade and consulting companies operating effectively. Attracting over 300 local workers to work stably, creating a large source of income for the locality. In 2015, Hung Thang's average income per capita reached 22 million VND/year; the poverty rate decreased to 3.4%.

On behalf of the District Party Committee, the Secretary of the District Party Committee awarded the new rural certificate to Hung Thang commune.

On this occasion, 6 individuals and collectives of Hung Thang commune received Certificates of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee. Hung Nguyen District People's Committee also awarded certificates of merit to individuals and collectives of the commune with outstanding achievements in the movement to build new rural areas.
