On the afternoon of July 6, a working delegation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development led by Deputy Minister Bui Ba Bong had a working session with leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Nghe An.
According to the report of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, although the 2011 spring crop took place in conditions of severe and prolonged cold, the area, yield and output of all crops all reached and exceeded the set plan. In particular, 88,422 hectares of rice achieved a yield of 6.52 tons/ha, with an output of 576,531 tons.

Concluding the meeting, Deputy Minister Bui Ba Bong requested Nghe An to actively implement measures to overcome the damage caused by storm No. 2, promptly provide plant varieties for people to restore production. He noted that the province needs to put some agricultural varieties with high economic value into production, focus on preventing epidemics. At the same time, continue to convert crops and livestock in a positive direction, focusing on high-tech agricultural production, creating agricultural products with good competitiveness in the market.
