“Tomorrow I will resign as prime minister. I am aware of my political responsibility,” Mr Necas told reporters after talks with his centre-right coalition partners in the capital Prague.

According to Mr. Necas, his ruling coalition will try to form a new government under the leadership of another person nominated by his Civic Democratic Party.

Prime Minister Necas has come under increasing pressure to resign after prosecutors earlier this week charged one of his closest aides with corruption and abuse of power./.
