Prime Minister directs to overcome consequences and clarify cause of fire on Trung Kinh street, Hanoi city
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed Official Dispatch No. 52/CD-TTg dated May 24, 2024, directing to focus on overcoming the consequences and urgently investigating the cause of the house fire at No. 1, Lane 43/98/31, Trung Kinh Street, Trung Hoa Ward, Cau Giay District, Hanoi City.

Telegram sent to: Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha; Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Government agencies; Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee and Chairmen of People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities stated: At about 00:46 on May 24, 2024, a fire broke out at a house at No. 1, Lane 43/98/31, Trung Kinh Street, Trung Hoa Ward, Cau Giay District, Hanoi City, causing particularly serious consequences, killing and injuring many people.
On behalf of the Government, the Prime Minister sent his condolences to the relatives and families of the victims and gave the following instructions:
1. Assign Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha to go to the scene to directly direct the handling of the incident.
2. The Hanoi People's Committee directs the organization of thoughtful visits, timely encouragement, and material and spiritual support to the victims' families; closely coordinates with the Ministry of Public Security to direct functional forces to focus on overcoming the consequences, promptly investigate the cause of the fire, clarify the responsibilities of relevant organizations and individuals; strictly handle violations (if any) according to the provisions of law.
3. The Minister of Public Security, Ministers, Heads of relevant Ministries, branches, agencies and Chairmen of People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities continue to direct the serious, drastic, effective and substantive implementation of documents of the National Assembly, the Government and the Prime Minister on fire prevention and fighting, especially the Law on Fire Prevention and Fighting, Directive No. 01/CT-TTg dated January 3, 2023 of the Prime Minister on strengthening fire prevention and fighting in the new situation...
Review the legal regulations and conditions on fire prevention and fighting related to business and rental of accommodation, report to the Prime Minister before July 30, 2024; inspect, classify, and immediately have solutions on fire prevention and fighting for rental housing, strictly handle violations according to the provisions of law; promote propaganda and guidance on fire prevention, fighting, rescue and first aid skills for people, especially in establishments with high risk of fire and explosion in the area during the upcoming hot weather.
