Prime Minister directs to overcome landslides in the area of Ranger Station No. 7 and Rao Trang 3 Hydropower Plant
On October 13, the Prime Minister issued an official dispatch directing relevant units to focus on rescue and overcoming the consequences of landslides in the area of Forest Ranger Station No. 7 and Rao Trang 3 Hydropower Plant, in Thua Thien Hue province.

The telegram stated: It is reported that heavy rain and floods have caused landslides in the area of Forest Ranger Station No. 7 in Sub-region 67 and Rao Trang 3 Hydropower Plant, in Thua Thien Hue province.Many officers and soldiers in the rescue team and people at the hydroelectric construction site were buried., The Prime Minister requested:
The Minister of National Defense, Chairman of the National Committee for Incident Response, Natural Disasters and Search and Rescue, Head of the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, Secretary and Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue Province, Commander of Military Region 4, urgently focused on directing the necessary and appropriate forces and means to promptly organize search and rescue of buried victims; forces participating in search and rescue must ensure absolute safety of people and means and promptly overcome the incident.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, and the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province, according to their assigned state management functions, shall direct the review and inspection of the work of ensuring the safety of reservoirs, hydroelectric dams, and irrigation works, including works under construction, and take measures to ensure the safety of people's lives, state assets, and people in the area.
*Previously, the Prime Minister issued Official Dispatch No. 1393/CD-TTg dated October 12, 2020 to provinces and cities from Quang Ninh to Phu Yen, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Lam Dong provinces and relevant ministries and branches requesting to focus on overcoming the consequences of floods and responding to storm No. 7 and tropical depression.
The Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control held a meeting and issued Official Dispatch No. 24/CD-TW to provinces and cities from Quang Ninh to Phu Yen and relevant ministries and branches to proactively respond to storm No. 7 and the flood situation.
