Prime Minister congratulates Vietnam Olympic team on entering Asiad semi-finals for the first time
The Government leader wished the Olympic team to "promote the spirit of U23 Vietnam" to continue winning in the upcoming matches.
On the evening of August 27, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc watched the match between the Vietnamese Olympic team and Syria and was very happy to witness the victory with a goal by Van Toan.

Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Ngoc Thien (Chairman of the Vietnam Olympic Committee) has just decided to reward the Vietnam Olympic team with 500 million VND, athlete Bui Thu Thao with 50 million VND, and the women's rowing team with 50 million VND.
"Today is a wonderful day when the Vietnamese sports delegation has continuously brought endless joy to fans across the country: The national Olympic team reached the semi-finals of the Asiad for the first time with an impressive victory over Syria; female long jumper Bui Thi Thu Thao excellently brought home the first gold medal for the country's athletics," Minister Nguyen Ngoc Thien wrote in a letter to the Vietnamese sports delegation.
He called the athletes "brave warriors who work tirelessly in foreign lands."

Previously,VOV also decided to give a bonus of 500 million VND to the team.after winning against Bahrain to win a ticket to the Asiad quarter-finals.
