The issue of migration is one of the important issues that voters are interested in today's elections in three German states (March 13). Many people are concerned that Germany will find it difficult to cope with the crisis when more than 1 million migrants arrived in the country last year.

Speaking to supporters, Chancellor Merkel continued to defend her migration policy:“Today, more than 90% of people say that if someone is really displaced by war, terrorism, violence, then we have to protect them.

The important thing is that we have succeeded in returning economic evacuees. It is easy to expel people for economic reasons, but otherwise it is very difficult to ask them to leave the country.”

The right-wing Alternative for Germany (AfD) party is expected to have an advantage in the German elections on March 13, with the election campaign theme "Protecting borders, ending refugee unrest".

German Chancellor Merkel, in power since 2005, faces a federal election next year. She is trying to find a European solution to the refugee crisis. Merkel has urged European leaders to reach a deal with Turkey to stem the flow of migrants.
