The move is part of a reform plan to curb corruption and streamline the government apparatus to improve operational efficiency.
According to the announcement of the above office, these officials will either retire or have to change their positions, but it did not specify the specific subjects or how many people from each sector were dismissed.
Earlier on August 9, Prime Minister Abadi announced a sweeping reform plan, notably including the abolition of a series of senior government positions.
The plan was announced after a wave of protests against widespread corruption in the government apparatus broke out in the capital Baghdad and many cities of the country.
