The Lebanese Prime Minister is scheduled to meet with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris on November 18, following accusations from Hariri’s political rivals that he was “kidnapped” by Saudi authorities. President Macron’s office confirmed that the French leader will meet Hariri at noon on November 18.
The announcement of the visit came after Hariri met with French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian in Riyadh on November 16. During the meeting, Drian expressed hope to cool down the crisis, which has increased tensions between the two major regional powers, Iran and Saudi Arabia./.
