(Baonghean.vn)- On March 20, Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang said he was willing to consider making an official visit to Japan, amid signs of improving relations between the two countries.

Speaking to reporters in Beijing (China) after the closing session of the first session of the 13th National People's Congress, Mr. Li Keqiang hopes to see continued improvements in the relationship between Beijing and Tokyo.

Premier Li Keqiang also urged the United States not to act "emotionally" to avoid a trade war, as President Donald Trump considers new sanctions against Beijing.

"We hope both sides can maintain common sense, not act on emotion, and avoid a trade war," he said, expressing hope for negotiations to resolve differences between the two countries.

After announcing tariffs on global steel and aluminum imports, President Trump is considering new measures against China over its alleged theft of U.S. intellectual property. Washington has long accused Beijing of forcing U.S. companies to hand over proprietary trade information and intellectual property as a condition for operating in China.

Recently, US Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer proposed imposing a $30 billion tax package on China, but President Trump wants this tax rate to be higher./.
