Prime Minister listens to experts' advice to help Vietnam develop
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc affirmed that the Government listens to experts with the highest sense of responsibility to promote Vietnam's development.
On December 13, the Vietnam Initiative Group coordinated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to organize a Prime Minister's Roundtable with a global network of experts on Vietnam's development with the theme "Vietnam in the global production network and value chain" to create a bridge between scientific research results and policy planning and consulting with the Prime Minister.

Attending the conference were Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue, Minister and Head of the Government Office Mai Tien Dung, Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh, Chairman of the National Assembly's Finance and Budget Committee Nguyen Duc Hai and representatives of many ministries and branches.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Quoc Dung said that the strong message of the Prime Minister and the Government of Vietnam on the goal of building a constructive, honest and action-oriented government has had a widespread impact on the community and Vietnamese experts and intellectuals living and working in many countries around the world. In the context that Vietnam is facing an important turning point in the process of transforming the growth model, this message has become an attraction, further arousing the enthusiasm of Vietnamese intellectuals around the world who are interested in Vietnam's development and advising the government in policy making.
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc emphasized that the world situation in terms of economy, politics and security is currently difficult to predict, while Vietnam's economy is very open, and any fluctuations in the world affect Vietnam.
On behalf of the Government, the Prime Minister thanked domestic and foreign scientists for their presence, along with domestic scientists and functional agencies, for their contributions to Vietnam's development. The Prime Minister affirmed that the Government's spirit is to strive to achieve the growth target set by the Party and the National Assembly because if growth is low, public debt and many other issues such as job creation will be difficult.
The Prime Minister affirmed that he would listen to the experts' advice with an open, sincere and frank spirit to resolve difficulties facing the Vietnamese economy. This was the first meeting of the new Vietnamese government with the global expert network, and the Prime Minister affirmed that the Government would listen to professors, doctors and experts with the highest sense of responsibility.
