The Prime Minister emphasized: Vietnam always supports and values ASEAN-China cooperation.
On the morning of September 3, in Nanning city, the capital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung attended and delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the 10th ASEAN-China Expo and the 10th ASEAN-China Trade and Investment Summit.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said that this ASEAN-China Trade and Investment Fair and Summit was held on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the ASEAN-China strategic partnership and the ASEAN-China goal of bringing bilateral trade turnover to 500 billion USD before 2015, so it is very important.

China is ASEAN's first and most important external partner. China is the first partner country with which ASEAN has established a Free Trade Area. Bilateral trade has developed rapidly, with an average annual growth rate of 22%. China has consistently been ASEAN's largest trading partner, while ASEAN is China's third largest trading partner. Direct investment from China to ASEAN countries has also grown steadily. In addition, the relationship between businesses and people in the region has become increasingly close.
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung expressed his delight at the continuous efforts and initiatives by both ASEAN and China to create a better foundation for development, and believed that, based on the efforts of all parties, economic development would be promoted to be more sustainable and even in the region.
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung also highly appreciated the role of the ASEAN-China Fair held annually, creating an important opportunity to introduce the potential of each country, as well as helping businesses of the countries find partners and business opportunities.
The Prime Minister emphasized that Vietnam always supports and values ASEAN-China cooperation and believes that this framework contributes to promoting Vietnam-China relations. Vietnam also supports research and exchanges to upgrade the ASEAN-China Free Trade Area, in line with the common interests of all parties, for mutual development and mutual benefit.
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung affirmed that, along with cooperation and development in various fields, disputes and differences in the region are an objective reality that must be jointly controlled responsibly and effectively, must jointly build trust and political determination, must jointly negotiate and resolve by peaceful means on the basis of international law, and together find appropriate and satisfactory solutions that are acceptable and agreed upon by all parties involved./.
