On behalf of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Huynh Thanh Dien also attended and participated in cutting the ribbon to inaugurate the factory.

This is a modern powdered milk factory, one of the largest in Asia to date, invested by Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (Vinamilk), with a total cost of nearly 2,000 billion VND.

The factory is built on an area of ​​35,000m2, designed capacity of 54,000 tons of milk powder/year. The entire production line as well as the factory's machinery and equipment are of the most advanced and modern technology in the world today, provided by GEA/NIRO Group and leading companies in the world from G7 countries, EU, Germany, USA, Japan.

At the factory inauguration ceremony, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and Ms. Mai Kieu Lien - Chairwoman of the Board of Directors and General Director of Vinamilk signed to donate 10,000 boxes of Dielac Alpha branded powdered milk for children, the first products produced on the factory's modern production line, equivalent to a value of 1 billion VND to be donated to poor Vietnamese children and disabled children in difficult circumstances through the Vietnam Children's Fund.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung highly appreciated Vinamilk's efforts and emphasized that Vinamilk's inauguration of the world's most modern powdered milk factory, the largest in Asia, marked a new step forward for Vietnam's dairy industry. In addition, the Prime Minister said that the Government has just approved and implemented the planning of Vietnam's dairy industry with the expectation that by 2015, domestic fresh milk production will reach 1.9 billion liters and powdered milk will reach about 80,000 tons; by 2020, it will strive to reach 2.6 billion liters of fresh milk and 120,000 tons of powdered milk, meeting about 40% of the needs of Vietnamese people.

The establishment of the most modern Vietnamese infant formula factory in Asia has raised the position of the Vietnamese dairy industry and marked Vietnam on the world dairy industry map. This is also a new step for Vinamilk in its strategy to accelerate development, making Vinamilk one of the 50 largest dairy companies in the world with a revenue of 3 billion USD in 2017.
